To All Who Donated

Here’s How You’ll Get v3

First of all, thank you so much for buying Volo Airsport and supporting its development. You rock!

We are getting ready to launch Volo Airsport V3, and as promised you will get access to it! We’ve sent emails out to all the Paypal addresses we have on record to confirm.

The game will be distributed via the Humble Store from now on. We will send you a key later this week, but before we can do that we need to make sure your contact information is up-to-date.

If you received our email, and you’re fine with your Humble key being sent to it, you’re all set. If you’d prefer a different email address, send us an email with your preferences. If you didn’t receive our email, first check your spam box. If you definitely didn’t get the email, let us know and we’ll sort it out.

Volo V3 will launch later this week. See you then!

wait so volo is now only for paying costumers or are you just prefering the paying costumers in regards of the release date of your alpha?!

    • You are right, from this point on the paid version is the way we’re doing it.

We’re not excluding the idea of a (limited) free version, but right now we need to make the development process work for us financially.

I realize the change might be an unpleasant surprise, but see it like this: I’ve put about 3 combined years of full-time work into the game already! Frank (who joined last year) has also been putting crazy hours into it as of late.

It’s time the game starts paying us the effort we put in, otherwise we can’t keep it up.

Plus, we’ve gone way beyond the prototype stage with v3. We believe the game is actually worth the money right now. Maybe not for everyone yet, which is why we’ll be advocating to only buy the game if you think the current version of the game is worth it.

Let me know what you think about this!

Well this could have been made clear a bit sooner imho, but a good decision nontheless 😉

Well you have all the Rights to charge Money for your Game and i think by now it´s even justified. You created a really solid Flight Model which is superior to everything else on the market. If now the real Content Updates starting to flow are 20 Bucks a fair Deal. I whish you all the best for your Game Martijn and i hope you make it to Steam soon !

Thanks for understanding Marcel. Indeed, we’re going for a steady stream of updates that will flesh out the game as we go. 🙂

I’ve got to say I agree with this change, I am glad you can now start to profit from your hard work and hopefully it will be a big success so you can make more games! I think that the creativity in both of your projects and the appreciation for natural beauty is just wonderful. Thanks again! I supported you guys already, and hopefully you have a great launch too.
